Trip Summary
During this period, there was one excursion made on March 26 to FH-7 to obtain accurate LAT/LONG coordinates for the boundaries of that site and to determine an appropriate deployment zone for the "Sabine Pass", a 150' Pogey Boat scheduled for deployment on April 8. The scheduled deployment was aborted due to high winds.

FH-7 Corner Coordinates (Rigs to Reef Site)
The DMR had requested accurate corner Lat/Long coordinates for FH-7 due to conversion discrepancies. They also supplied LAT/LONG points depicting a pipeline that runs thru FH-7 and advised that our material must allow 1,000 feet of clearance from the pipeline. A search for any signs of the pipeline were negative and it was later learned that the pipeline is 3 feet below the sediment. The FH-7 Corners were located by LORAN and the LAT/LONG Coordinates were recorded off the DGPS unit as follows:

FH-7 NE: Lat 29°37.543' N Long 88°23.421' W TD's: 12541.0 46923.4 29592.8
FH-7 SE: Lat 29°36.817' N Long 88°23.427' W TD's: 12541.0 46920.0 29589.4
FH-7 SW: Lat 29°36.727' N Long 88°24.639' W TD's: 12529.5 46920.0 29577.0
FH-7 NW: Lat 29°37.460' N Long 88°24.622' W TD's: 12529.5 46923.4 29580.6

Last Month this method was used to get corner coordinates for sites FH-2, 3, 4, and 5. Eventually all sites will be procured. This information will be useful to get the fish havens accurately depicted on charts and navigation equipment.

DGPS Data obtained using a Northstar 951XD. During this project the unit reported trakcing 10 Satellites, had a Hoop of 0.9 and an computed accuracy of 8 feet.
