Trip Summary

The surrounding depth was 81 feet, tide was at about 0.1 feet at 3PM, DGPS was tracking 10 Satellites with a hoop of 1.7 and accuracy of 14 feet. Minimum clearance depth is 70 feet.

chart Discrepancies
It has been noticed that GPS charting that shows the fish havens boundaries show those boundaries incorrectly. MGFB's permits are issued with LORAN coordinates for the boundaries and it is hypothesized that the charting companies are converting these numbers mathematically to place them on the charts. Since these conversions are not accurate, there has been an ongoing effort to obtain accurate LAT/LONG coordinates for the site boundaries. FH-2, FH-3, FH-4 and FH-5 were documented in the March 9, 2000 report. FH-7 was documented in the April 13, 2000 report. On this trip site boundaries were located for FH-1 and FH-6 with LORAN and DGPS coordinates as follows:
