long Beach Harbor and Ulman Street Pier Limestone
On April 17, T&W Marine and PRIMOFISH.COM met at the Long Beach Harbor Pier to deploy limestone within coordinates provided by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. The coordinates provided were 30°20.576 /89°08.442, 30°20.598/89°08.412, 30°20.578/89°08.380, 30°20.556/89°08.410. Most of the material was centered between 30°20.569/89°08.407 & 30°20.572/89°08.428, Loran=12074.9/47095.5-4/29320.6-5. The surrounding water depth was 4 feet with a minimum clearance of 3 feet. The tide level was about 0.5 feet at the time with a range that day of 1.2' (0.1' to +1.3') and high tide occurring at 633 PM. At Ulman Street Pier in Waveland, the material was deployed off the end of the pier at 30°18.737/89°19.184, Loran=11964.0/47087.0-1/29204.8. The surrounding depth was 6.5' with a minimum clearance of 5 feet. The tide level was at about 1.0 feet with a range of 1.2' (0.1' to 1.3'). Winds were strong from the North causing tides to run about 2 feet below predicted. Approximately 200 cubic yards were deployed at each location.

Offshore Buoys at FH-1, Fh-2, and FH-12

On April 28, buoys were deployed by T&W Marine at fish havens FH-1, FH-2, and FH-12.

The buoy at FH-2 was deployed first at 30°05.207/88°33.778, Loran 12435.0-9/47044.0-9/29610.3. This is located close to the old location at the Plant Daniel Pipes. The buoy is of a new design (POMNA3) that is taller and appears to be much more visible. The surrounding depth was 58 feet. The tide was 1.3 feet with a range of 2.7 feet (-0.6 to +1.3).

The buoy at FH-1 was deployed next at 30°03.546/88°36.651, Loran 12406.0/47037.1/29574.4. This is in the vicinity of it's old location in 65 feet of water. This buoy was refurbished and is of the RMX-24 design (spar type).

The buoy at FH-12 was deployed at 30°02.160/88°45.647, Loran 12315.2/47031.1-2/29477.9. This is located near the north/central area of the site just northwest of the Cat Island Barge.
