Trip Summary
During this period, there were 2 dive monitoring trips and 2 reef construction trips. On June 4 a trip was made to Rowan Reef for dive monitoring, but zero visibility forced caused the trip to be aborted. On July 1, concrete culverts and T's were deployed in FH-2. On July 7, dive monitoring was conducted on the newly placed concrete culverts and T's in FH-2. On July 8, more concrete T's were deployed in FH-2.
990701 FH-2 Rubble (ID=221F2) Bill Walker Site
Borries construction provided Barge and Tug services while PRIMOFISH.COM provided spotter boat services. The load consisted of 30-50 short five foot diameter culverts and 8-12 eight foot tall concrete "T"'s. Surrounding depth was 55.5 feet with a minimum water clearance of 47 feet. The predicted Tide level was 1.0 feet at the time of deployment. DGPS data had a hoop of 1.1 and an accuracy of 10 feet. The material was deployed in the southwest quarter of the site, south of the Waterspout wreck. The material was deposited within a 200 foot radius centered at the following coordinates:
Lat: 30°05.110' Long: 88°34.620'
TDs: 12426.3 47043.4 29601.3
990708 FH-2 Rubble (ID=222F2) Bill Walker Site

The load consisted of 20-30 five to eight foot tall concrete "T"'s and other assorted large concrete rubble. Surrounding depth was 56.5 feet with a minimum water clearance of 48 feet. The predicted Tide level was 0.9 feet at the time of deployment. DGPS data had a hoop of 1.0 and an accuracy of 8 feet. The material was deployed in the southeast corner of FH-2 within a 150 foot radius centered at the following coordinates:
Lat: 30°05.010' Long: 88°33.009'

990701 FH-2 Rubble Dive Monitoring (ID=221F2) Bill Walker Site
This trip was made to do some initial observations of a newly constructed reef, namely, 990701 Rubble in FH-2 which was sunk only 6 days earlier. It was suspected that larger game fish may move in from nearby existing reefs to investigate the reef, but observations revealed very young juvenile fish, crabs, and invertebrates were setting up homes.
